Gill has been my stoma nurse for over 6 years and after reading other reviews about her I can only add that they are all correct. Gill is a amazing nurse and a asset to Harrogate hospital and to the patients in her care.

Gill has taken fantastic care of me before, during and after 2 hospital stays over the 2 years I've had my stoma. She responds quickly to requests for help and is extremely helpful and thorough in finding the best solution to a problem. She genuinely cares about people, and is clearly very knowledgeable. My experience is that she sticks with it until she's sure she's achieved the right outcome for the individual. This isn't just a question of physiology, products and equipment but also relationships with colleagues, suppliers and doctors - and will make sure the right people are involved to look after the patient. She's tactful, realistic and direct. I'm very grateful for Gill's dedication, help and expertise, her unflappability and kindness, and her generosity, especially with her time.

I have known Gill now for over four years now. She is without doubt the most helpful, knowledgeable, caring nurse you could ever wish to meet. She has helped me numerous times with problems I have had with my stoma. I have never ever felt that she could have helped me any more than she did. I have had several cancers in my life and Gill is the best nurse I have had looking after me. A very special nurse. One of the very best.

Nurse Gill Wilson has shown great help and care to me and gone out of her way to assure me I was doing the right thing and how when I first had my stoma. She has always been at the end of a phone or fitted me in to see her when I have had problems since and recently with health problems been assuring to me that the correct things were been done and advising me what to ask the Doctor.

Gill is absolutely amazing so caring and compassionate always there to help in my early days of having my stoma I don't know what I would of done without her. I really struggled to begin with had a few problems both with the stoma and mentally Gill was fantastic she sorted new products out that solved my problems, talked and listened to my worries She is such a wonderful lady I would not be where I am today without her she is a credit to her job and the NHS, she is not just a nurse but a friend in difficult times.
